In Breaking Surf we have the lone figure, which is all of us - in a group or not - being drawn to the edge of this permanent barrier. Somehow paintings of breaking surf emphasizes the insightful nature of the theme depicted in the Dream. The longing somehow to merge ourselves into a world that allows us to float and somehow diminish the singleness of our own awareness.
