Title: "Red Wave"

With simple elegance this sculptural box has a strong presence. The box itself is a subtle faux finish Verde marble. The "red wave" (which has also been interpreted as a tongue, " ala Jagger"), is highly figured anegre wood that the artist has bent into shape and dyed a brilliant red. The entire box was then finished with a rubbed lacquer finish. Note: The sculpture piece is not intended as a handle.
