Title: "Alex's Horse"

Alex's Horse is a snapshot of an animal that has been owned by someone. This forlorn creature would not have survived to this point if it hadn't built a relationship with its owner. It is literally spending its final days resting in the field. It might be hard to see on the screen, but there is a tracing of golden light from the sky to the stream to the horse. It has spent its life well and it is resting until it dies. This is not a sad thing to anyone who has ever loved a pet or any domesticated animal; we give them this shelter. The shimmering flecks of gold, yellow and orange light coming through the layers of dark greens and blues of this painting are beautiful.
