Eastpoint Entertainment Center

One of a Kind

The bold architectural elements frame the geometric and dimensional detailing of the piece designed and built by Mr. Crane in 1992. It is built primarily of solid Honduras Mahogany with Mahogany veneer panel doors. The doors on the top cabinet pocket into sides.

The center door stiles would have to be one of the most unusual and interesting design elements of this piece as they jut out to a point where they come together. To further compliment this feature, the Rosewood handles and details are formed in an elongated triangular shape. The four legs are built with solid highly figured mahogany which had to be hand planed because of the swirling grain patterns. They were built using locking miter joinery in a box construction.

The legs support a top that is one solid piece of mahogany, 22 inches wide and 2 inches thick, which was also hand planed.
The front legs and front upper stiles are detailed with a rosewood diamond pattern pyramids.

The piece is finished with a clear semi-gloss lacquer, with the natural, rich penta of the wood showing
through.
