The subtle detailing
in this archival quality bookcase is quite extraordinary. Thick
solid cherry sides taper in thickness from top to bottom with the
corners being gently rounded. Joints are accented with exposed butterflies.
Sides have decorative squares of cherry, rosewood and brass where
the shelves intersect. The back is sequence matched cherry veneer.
Upper shelves conceal strips of lights to accent display pieces.
Lower shelves are sized to hold oversized volumes safely.
The piece is
beautifully finished in a rubbed lacquer finish.
These bookcases
can be built up to 9 feet wide for library rooms and in many different
species.
